Affirmation: Big Dreams Start Small!

We climb the ladder of life one step at a time
With each new rung the view around us becomes clearer.
So true...and with a new year approaching on Sunday February 14th it's time to climb the ladder and roar.
No, I haven't lost it...Chinese New Year, the Year of the Tiger is on Sunday February 14th...same as Valentine's Day!
This occurance is the first time since 1900 and in my way of thinking...could not have happened sooner! Valentines Day and Chinese New Year are all about love and forgiveness...of course, we need to love and forgive every day but good ole Life 101 seems to get in the way!
Chinese New year began, so they say, when Buddha called all of the animals of his kingdom to come to him and only 12 appeared...sound familiar? So, being the nice guy he was, he named a year after each of the animals and it is said that the person born in each of these years will have the traits of the animal!
February 14th 2010 begins the year of the Tiger...it will be a very interesting year for the world...a year to keep our focus and do what we want to do...climb the ladder and feel secure doing so, while making sure it is steady!
I find it interesting that the Chinese New year is later than ours and I am rather glad it is. From where I sit, I feel January is a bit of a write off for ideas etc. Holidays have taken their toll, we never plan do we? It makes sense to me to begin our year and goals when our mind is clearer, and it happens to fall in Aquarian time...Jan. 21st-Feb.21st! This is a sign of looking forward, being upfront and getting things done...and, to make it even better...the Zodiac Angel for Aquarian time is Gabriel the Angel of love! I love it when a plan comes together, don't you?
